Pie Chart
A Pie Chart is a circular chart divided into slices. Each slice represents a category’s contribution to the total value. Pie Charts are used to show percentages and proportions of a whole.
Example: If a company’s total sales are distributed among different products, a Pie Chart can show which product contributes the most to total sales.
When to Use a Pie Chart
- Show percentage contribution of categories.
- Display market share.
- Represent budget distribution.
- Show product-wise sales contribution.
- Compare parts of a whole.

Steps to Create a Pie Chart
- Select the data range including headings.
- Click the Insert tab.
- Go to the Charts group.
- Click Insert Pie or Doughnut Chart.
- Select 2-D Pie Chart.
- Excel will create the Pie Chart.
