Line Chart and Area Chart

Line Charts and Area Charts are commonly used to display trends and changes over time. They help users analyze growth, decline, and patterns in data across days, months, years, or any continuous period.


Line Chart

A Line Chart displays data points connected by lines. It is mainly used to show trends, growth, or decline over a period of time.

Steps to Create a Line Chart

  1. Select the data range.
  2. Click the Insert tab.

Area Chart

An Area Chart is similar to a Line Chart, but the area below the line is filled with color. It emphasizes the magnitude of values and shows how totals change over time.
